Yellow Springs Chamber Celebrates the Spirit of the Season with Holiday in the Springs Events

Yellow Springs, Ohio – The Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce invites the community to join in the festivities as Holiday in the Springs kicks off the weekend after Thanksgiving, bringing joy, cheer, and local spirit to our village. This holiday season is centered on supporting local businesses, celebrating our unique community, and sharing in the warmth of the season with family-friendly events that highlight the true spirit of giving.

The celebration begins with Shop Local Weekend on November 29-30, where everyone can enjoy Yellow Friday and Small Business Saturday, while discovering unique gifts at the Mills Park Hotel Holiday Bazaar. Throughout the season, the community can participate in the Business Decorating Contest from November 29 to December 6, voting for the most festive storefronts and honoring our local businesses' holiday spirit.

From December 6-17, the 12 Days of Gifting will provide daily holiday gift suggestions to inspire thoughtful giving, while the Community Tree Lighting Celebration on December 7 will light up the night with holiday cheer, complete with hot chocolate, music, and a sense of togetherness. On December 14, the Winterfest at Mills Lawn PTO promises a day of crafts, sensory activities, games, and more for children and families from 11 AM to 1 PM. Weekends throughout December will feature Selfies with Santa, where holiday browsers can snap a photo with Santa and enjoy the magic of the season.

The Holiday in the Springs season is a reminder of how much our local community and economy thrive during this special time. Beyond the bustling shopping season, it’s an opportunity to reflect on how supporting local businesses and bringing our community together strengthens the fabric of our village. From providing jobs to our youth, to enhancing the quality of life for all, this time of year reminds us of the importance of giving back and making a lasting impact on the place we call home.
